My name is Philip Betts and I am a professional photographer and educator.
I have been a photographer for over 30 years and continue to find the profession rewarding. The field is always evolving, presenting new opportunities and perspectives.
Following the completion of my Bachelor of Art in Photography at RMIT, I began my career as a freelance photographer specialising in advertising, public relations, industrial, editorial, corporate headshots and general studio photography. In 1999, my partner, graphic designer Michele Murray, and I established the Murray Betts Group. Our client base includes local government, corporate, manufacturing, retail and small businesses.
I am also a sessional lecturer in photography at Swinburne University and am passionate about teaching. I share my knowledge as a practising photographer and use their enthusiasm to inspire my own work.
Mistakes are a valuable learning experience.
